SYNOPSIS:
Young widow Lady Susan arrives at the country estate of her brother-in-law scheming to position herself well by gaining wealth. Her plans are tested, however, with the arrival of several unexpected and uninvited guests, including her daughter, with whom Lady Susan finds herself competing for a suitor. This period comedy based on Jane Austen’s novella captures the wit and charm of its time.
